Knowing this First! (The Key of Knowledge)
UNLOCKING BIBLE PROPHECY!
"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake
as they were moved by the Holy Ghost".
II Peter 1:20-21 KJV
The very first thing we need to know and understand as believers is that no scripture of the Holy Bible
is to be given a private interpretation. To clarify this, we must examine all relevant scriptures on any doctrine, line upon line for a fuller and clearer understanding. This "key of knowledge" can be found in Isaiah 28:9-13.
The proper interpretation of the scriptures cannot be of “private” interpretation. When we take all the scriptures together and batch them together you will see that having one and two verses of interpretation on any subject without batching the other scriptures on the same subject is therefore rendered a “private” interpretation and thus rendered void. And God tells us this is the very FIRST thing we need to know. If we are to perfect our walk with Christ we must listen to the Apostle Paul’s exhortation to Timothy as follows…
“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make
thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus”.
II Timothy 3:15 KJV
All scripture is given by God, present tense, not past tense from the lost originals or any other text. Nowhere in the world can the original Hebrew and Greek scriptures be located, so it would make this verse null and void if we did not have the Word of God today, present tense. If the originals are all lost and gone, then only by faith can we believe that what we have in our hands “IS” the present given word of God by divine inspiration. Remember the keys in this verse, scriptures, wise, salvation through faith. Many Christians for years are still drinking the milk of God's Word and have not matured to the meat, and some of the milk is very sour out there.
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may
grow thereby”. I Peter 2:2 KJV
As we grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord, we must slowly wean ourselves away from the milk alone and start eating some meat, giving us sound doctrine and biblical knowledge, which can only come from proper interpretation of scripture as follows..
“Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand
doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn away from the
breasts. For precept (scripture), must be upon precept (scripture), precept
(scripture) upon precept (scripture), line upon line, line upon line; here a
little, and there a little. But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon
precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line: here a little, and
there a little…”
Isaiah 28:9-10;13
In order for us to even start WE MUST take at least 10 scriptures as a starting point and a total of 20 scriptures, as we add verses 10 and 13 (which total 20 verses) together to understand any doctrine within scripture. This will give us the knowledge we need on any given subject. Since the bible does not contradict itself, if we leave the milk and start eating the meat, in reading precept upon precept, line upon line, we will get a proper interpration on any given doctrine. For example, if 3 or 4 scriptures would seem to indicate that water baptism alone brings salvation, but 40 or 50 other scriptures show us that salvation is by faith only, what are we to conclude? What are we to conclude in knowing that the scriptures on salvation cannot contradict themselves and we have a 50:4 ratio against water baptism as a necessity to salvation? We conclude then that water baptism is not necessary for salvation, it is by grace trough faith.
This is your "Key of Knowledge" that Jesus spoke about, but that many preachers today have taken away this key, by not teaching "precept upon precept" in doctrine.
"Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge:
ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
Luke 11:52 KJV
Most of today's preachers only preach parts of scripture that fit their false doctrine because using "line upon line" with all the other verses on their twisted view will nullify their doctrine, thus they ignore or omit such verses. They are "partial in the law" and cause God's people to drift by their "light" and "partial" preaching.
"Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the
people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial
in the law".
Malachi 2:9 KJV
"Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD,
and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their
lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall
not profit this people at all, saith the LORD".
Jeremiah 23:32 KJV
With that said we need to make sure that any belief does not divide and/or cause confusion to those on the milk of the Word, or that a doctrine in itself becomes a “private” interpretation; of which only a select group has the keys to the kingdom. This is where Paul warned Timothy not to get hung up on individual “WORDS” or single verses of scripture without taking all the others into account. This is what "rightly dividing the word of truth" is all about!
“Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord
that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the
hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, righty dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and
vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word
(type of preaching) will eat as doth a canker (cancer)….Who concerning the
truth have erred, saying that….(any kind of hang ups)…
II Timothy 2:14-18 KJV
Remember the first thing? Precept upon precept for doctrine? Once again regarding doctrine and knowledge, we as ministers we must caution against hang ups and inventing doctrines that are not supported in multiple lines upon lines of scripture, at least 20 to be safe. We have been warned by Paul once again to Timothy, his right hand man.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
I Timothy 4:1 KJV
And who does God pinpoint for these doctrines and divisions in the Church? Preachers and Teachers! So called scholars, masters of Greek and Hebrew, so called Bible colleges of which God called us out of after several years. We experienced first hand where all of today’s false preaching and teachings come from.
“The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar…”
Malachi 2:12 KJV
We do not set up ourselves as judges and do not enjoy being critical, but truth is truth and we must warn what the scriptures declare. We can already tell you that in most churches you are not likely to get the meat of God’s word and doctrine. In fact, an extremely high percentage of all churches nationwide have departed from the faith, and are not in line with God’s Word. We are not saying this in any holier than thou or judgmental attitude. This is based on years of visiting hundreds and hundreds of churches and denominations by experience. This was prophesied....
"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the
land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words
of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even
to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall
not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst".
Amos 8:11-13 KJV
